Hello, and welcome to the very first post for 30 Days of Shredding. As creator and owner of this lovely blog, lemme just introduce to you what this shizz is all about:
- This blog is to hold me accountable for the arduous, long-ass process otherwise known as ‘weight loss’ and ‘muscle toning,’ which will be achieved through the use of a torture device called ‘Jillian Michaels’ 30 Day Shred.’
- I shall be updating you on my progress almost every day.
- Embarrassing ‘before’ and, hopefully wonderful, ‘after’ pictures will be posted in due time.
- I swear sometimes. Fucking deal with it.
So, there ya have it. A short and sweet intro to my blog. Now onto the good stuff.
Today marks Day 2 of Level One. I have tried the Shred DVD before, but stopped using it soon afterward because I’m a sloth by nature and, well, sloths and good exercise don’t mix. This time will be different. This time, I will make the transition from pansy white girl to tough shit. Yeah. You heard me.
Day 2, for me, was harder than Day 1. Always is. Day 1 you’re all pumped and feeling badass and “LET’S DO THIS” and you’re ready for just about anything. Day 2, though, is when you feel your muscles twitch with every side lunge, when you’re ready to throw your hand weights at the screen because Jillian and her peppy cronies in the back are smiling like this shit is FUN.
Newflash: it’s not.
From past experience, however, the stuff gets easier as you go on. Just do it every day and you’ll feel different.
