Quick workout

debating whether or not I want to post my before and after pictures of my 55 lb. weight loss.

hmmmm, I don’t know

I just went to get my Greek yogurt out of my lunch bag.

Someone knocked it over with their lunch bag.

THEIR DARTH VADER LUNCH BAG!

I work in a fortune 100 company. The accounting and tax department share the fridge. I must find out who uses this lunch box. And maybe give then a dirty look for knocking over my lunch.

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution ran my success story in their printed edition today.  Its a little overwhelming, honestly.  I have worked hard and still have work to do, but the number of people that have seen this so far and commented on it, without me mentioning it, is very flattering to say the least.

At the time I answered these questions, I had only hit the 60 pound mark.  Kinda cool to know that I dropped 5 more since that time.  The article also says I am 5 away from my goal.  Well, I want to drop 26 more, which will put me under 200.  Like I said, I still have work to do.  Anyway, you can read the online version here.

I do not post this stuff as a pat on the back or to brag.  I post this stuff to prove that anyone can do this.  Take that first step to a new lifestyle and never look back.

I haven’t been here in a few weeks…but now I’m back for good. I was going through some hard things and now it’s all over, it’s in my past. I’m ready to start exercising daily and eating right and counting my calories. Hello Fitspo and Thinspo and other weight loss blogs! I’m back! :]

behealthybee earned 388 points for:

  • Cycling (stationary):
    • 00:21:04 || 10.0 km (+178 pts)
  • Running (treadmill):
    • 00:26:53 || 3.0 km (+210 pts) - W2 D3 C25K

Also used the ‘wave’ machine which is similar to elliptical/cross-trainer for 10 minutes.

I was shattered today so no weights.

Starting weight: 207

Last week’s WIW: 182

Today: 181

Change this week: -1

Total loss so far: -26

I had a brief, brief visit from the 170’s fairy yesterday afternoon (179.5!!!) and about fell right off the scale, but apparently she decided not to stick around very long (I blame shark week for scaring her off).  But soon SOON I will be seeing her again!!

Regardless, I had a great week this week.  I ate well, I exercised a lot, and the scale is finally moving in the right direction again after being stuck for 3 weeks!  So even though it is shark week, I’m not complaining!

Just another reason she’s such an inspiration to me!

20 jumping jacks
30 jumps with imaginary jump rope
30 mountain climbers
60 punch combination (straight punches + cross punches)
10 squat thrust

going to do this now! :)

Kilo Ali is back in Atlanta!

He was seen singing his most well known singles "Love In Ya Mouth" and "Nasty Dancer" at Maggies in Atlanta with KDENCE.

"He is out of jail from serving about 6 years of a 15 year sentence stemming from the arson charge and was released just before Christmas last year."

"Kilo is somewhat of a legend around Atlanta after he hit the pinnacle of success during the days when Atlanta was all about the bass."

Wiz Khalifa in Atlanta!

We just got our hands on a candid shot of Wiz Khalifa during his recent trip to Atlanta! He rolled through and had a listening party for his new record Rolling Papers (out March 29th). From what we heard, the album is gonna BLAZE!

Thief nabs Drivin' N Cryin's gear -- HELP CATCH THIS GUY!

After their show Friday night in Macon, GA, the band Drivin' N Cryin' left their hotel to get a late night meal. When they returned, they found that their trailer full of $50,000 in musical gear had been stolen.  The low-life scumbag, Reginald Donta Ellis, has been pawning their equipment at Atlanta area pawn shops. KEEP A LOOK OUT! I know a lot of bands, and this is one of the worst things that could happen.

The trailer is a black 5' x 10' Quicksilver trailer and has band stickers on the back of it.  OH and guess what, we've got ID now. Anyone up for a man hunt?  Here's the piece of junk that is pawning the gear. You best bet I have his face burned in my memory.  The arrest warrants are out.

picture from Drivin' N Cryin's website

Their website states that any information as to his whereabouts or activities should be forwarded to the Atlanta Police Department (404) 614-6544, Chamblee Police Department (770) 986-5005 (case #10-02795) or the Bibb County Sheriff’s office in Macon (case #B10-35127)- (478)-746-9441.

Or contact the band's manager at kennethjgreen@gmail.com

I'll keep this updated. Hopefully they catch this scumbag.

******UPDATE 9/14/10*******

The perp has been seen at Cash America Pawn in Chamblee AND at Dirt Cheap Music in Smyrna trying to sell silver bass, telecaster and Marshall JCM900.

DNC bass player Tim Nielsen posted on the band's facebook page yesterday:

"Hey folks! Thanks for all the support. With all of the media attention, I doubt this perp is gonna try to sell anything else in the Atlanta area. We are going to start looking in other towns. Check craigslist , music stores that buy used gear and pawn shops in other cities; Charlotte, Chattanooga , Nashville , Charleston Birmingham ,Orlando, and so on. Thanks y'all. We love you!"

Here is a link to their facebook page where they've got pictures of all the stolen gear:

This thief WILL probably be going other places to pawn now, so even if you're not in Atlanta, you can help out.

~Mo.

July 24 at 11:00pm - July 25 at 3:00am
Famous Pub and Sports Palace

2947 North Druid Hills Rd NE
Atlanta, GA

"Kdence will be headlining the Famous Pub & Sports Palace, Emory Welcome Back Party, July 24, 2010. The famous “House DJ” will be spinning all night and there will also be a performance by The Craigger White Band. This is sure to be a packed event so get there early. The Emory students usually start rolling in around midnight, but don’t worry we probably won’t even go on till about that time. Also, we will be performing live with our new keyboard player, Britton Possey. If you haven’t seen us with our complete band we have totally taken a new approach on our live performance. We no longer play with any back up tracks now that we have a complete band. Everything is 100% different so everyone will be in for a few surprises, such as our acoustic version of Area 51. If you have not been to one of our shows, or to Famous in a while this is a must see!!! We haven’t stumbled through Famous in at least 3 months, so it’s been a minute. Come join us for a Famous reunion and bring the whole gang. Let’s all catch up cuz in the end it’s not about just throwing Kdence in everyone’s face, it’s just an excuse to get back together with old friends and get a little bit crazy!!!"

Atlanta Beer Week!

Atlanta Beer Week is coming soon. This is like music to my ears. As OMFG's unofficial official Beer Connoisseur, I am super duper excited. What is Atlanta Beer Week? Well, from what I have read so far, it seems to be nothing less than a celebration of Craft Beer.
Rumor has it that there will be a secret cask tapping of Terrapin's Depth Charge on May 20th at Midnight, although its location has yet to be confirmed!
***** LOCATION REVEALED! LEONS FULL SERVICE!!*********

I've also read that Sweetwater has a schedule of special casks that will be tapped all week over at the brewery!

Get Heady Atlanta! Here is the Sweetwater schedule:
May 19th - Dirty South: Dark version of IPA with centennial hops
May 20th - Chocolate Quad: BSP with Chocolate
May 21st - Old Faithful: IPA dry hopped with centennial hops
May 22nd - Go Hop or Go Home: IPA dry hopped with columbus hops and a hop secret

Here are the websites that I got all the info for beer week from:
