Vogue Magnet

Have you guys heard about Vogue Magnet? Its an online shopping site, and its not JUST another online shopping site.

Its got top brands and they update their sales frequently

They have Calvin Klein dresses for 1990!

          As you can see from the screen shots of the site, they sell high end brands at quite a discount

They were kind enough to let me pick something from their site sometime back.
I got this vintage looking scarf, with little flower and a really nice trimming.

Yeah, I am kinda obsessed with the trimming. Its so different!

                 


Although its really hard to wear scarves in this heat, in Delhi, this one is pretty long so I am looking forward to wearing it in the fall or the winter. It`ll keep the neck warm even though its cotton cos of its length.


You know when you are on these online shopping sites, and see something u really really like-but its something small. Like maybe a nailpolish, which is max for Rs 150. Now how pissing off is it to pay Rs 100 shipping on it? Ultimately making its price more than what it orignally retails for!
Well I saved the best for last, cos shipping on Vogue Magnet is FREE!! They also have Cash On Delivery. Free shipping + Cash on Delivery is obviously a match made in shopping heaven!
Their delivery is pretty quick too :)


Give Vogue Magnet a try especially if you like these high end names such as CK, D&G etc. Also their customer service is fantastic and extremely helpful. They answer calls and emails very efficiently.


They dont have much variety at the moment, but they`ve just started a couple of months back and look quite promising :)


And its always nice to discover these shops in India, since we had nothing like them some years back. Vogue Magnet is definitely worth a look!

New York Fashion Week

The New York Fall Ready To Wear Fashion Week (wow that was a mouthful , erm handful to write)  just concluded.  I had tweeted about how I wish I was in NYC right now. I don`t even want to be in the tents seeing the shows. Just want to feel the energy in the city of fashion week.

Anyway, clearly that did not happen. So the next best thing for me to do was go put together a post of my favourite looks, make up and front row pictures.

Favourite Looks

The very pregnant A list stylist (also my dream job boss) had a presentation. And I Adore each of her pieces.

 Love the colour block dress by Costello Tagliapietra. My humble request to young bollywood to experiment with these kinds of pieces!!

OMG after seeing this collection I had dreams about it. Its got everything I love. Lace and subtle sequins! And the make up is so chic. I absolutely loved this collection.

Rock The Trend Lace edition.                                                                                                                                                                  

I absolutely adore this sweatshirt for the surprise factor it has. Its just a plain old boring grey sweatshirt from the front and the whole back is Black Lace.

And I can switch it up by wearing different colours underneath it.

Rock The Trend

The title of this post is so because I do, in fact Love Lace. 
I am so glad that it has become acceptable to wear it again these past seasons without looking like you are wearing lingerie and/or a wedding gown.
I love how lace lets you play a game of peek-a-boo without being vulgar or over the top.
The key to wearing this trend is to keep it simple and wear something underneath! We don`t want too much of peeking! 
So what if its getting colder, doesn`t mean you can`t still wear lace. There are plenty of lace sweaters and jackets out there and it`s great to wear it layered as well. You can work lace from day to night and make it look edgy (black lace top with lots of silver accessories) or quite pretty and feminine. You can play with it and get really creative. Here are some sets I put together.

Casual College

I couldn`t really decide between the flats for this look so I put both. You can get the exact same   blue suede shoes [ :) ]  (minus the heel) at Khan Market,Delhi for like Rs.200 

I bought them in three colours last winter and they are amazing!

The Leopard print flat and Bag is from ZARA,the earings from FOREVER 21. You can get something like this bow necklace from Forever 21 aswell.

The last time I went to Forever 21 i saw lots of lace sweaters/sweatshirts and also picked one up. They are really warm and oh-so-cute!

I know I have used a lot of neutral colors in the lace items but there are very few colours apart from the neutrals which look good in lace. Some other colours I would suggest would be purple, navy and emerald green.

I also know that I have mainly used ZARA and FOREVER 21 but its because they seem to have all the good things which are accessible to most of us and at a good price. and Not because they are paying me to feature their products ( I WISH! ) I have not mentioned names or brands of some pieces because they are not available here but something similar definitely is!
