Arsenal - Lotuk (Inflagranti Remix)
ARSENAL release their album’s title track LOTUK. Singer-songwriter Shawn Smith (him of Seattle veterans Brad and Satchel) guests on this throughout shimmering tune, with a pulsating Kim Deal-like bass line, trancelike backing vocals and a deliciously naïve synthesizer loop that will keep you humming all day long.
It comes action packed with a trio of quality remixes: Sasha Crnobrnja of fellow NYC hipsters IN FLAGRANTI speeds up the vocal over heavy Moroderesque arpeggios, a cluster of beats from a battered Roland and lots of cowbell action. Take notice!

Get Physical’s 8th annual Anniversary Compilation represents the Berlin label’s dancefloor legacy and its bright future with 19 tracks, 6 of which are previously unreleased, from familiar names, old friends and fresh talent. With longtime DJ, producer and labelmate Thomas Schumacher at the helm, the compilation is guided by his expert hand through seamless mixes and astute selections.
This is one the few really good progressive house compilations I have heard in recent years.You can pick this up through Get Physical in the UK.

Ah, something always there to remind me...
For years I spun a lot of progressive house, strictly vinyl and highly influenced by my Global Underground collection among others. This release definitely took me back there for a few minutes. I highly recommend checking out the UruMusicArt Remix. Sweet airy atmosphere and a sweet tacky synth piano make some of the best prog house in my book. OM(ichael Woods) - Temper Trap
Good mornin east coast! I've been at work for 4 hours already and I wish I could listen to music like this right now. I don't even get to listen to music at work these days and it's KILLING me. But have no fear, Michael Woods is here with a big building progressive house remix of Temper Trap's 'Science Of Fear'. Not something for the electroheads, moreso for the prog/trance clubbers.

Call it Music Monday here at OMFGAtlanta. I've got these sound bite samples of a new DJ/producer on the horizon in New York, but born in Canada (since we've all been talking about Canada for the past two weeks anyway...), Jimmy Vallance. He's running his own label/podcast called 'Talk Action'. The music is what it's all about for Jimmy: "The sound is a mixture of raw organic real instruments, with digital undertones. I don't like it when music sounds too technology driven (to me that dates the tracks). I like using elements that are timeless...". I picked my favorite of his samples to share simply because it's got more deep house sound than tech house, but you can listen to his tracks and podcasts on his soundcloud.
