Something old: The bridal gown, from Sarah Burton of Alexander McQueen, featured “traditional Carrickmacross craftsmanship,” a lace technique that dates back to the 1800s.  

Something new: Her parents gifted their daughter with custom-made diamond oak-leaf earrings with a diamond-encrusted acorn set in the middle, a nod to their new family crest.

Something borrowed: Kate’s tiara, on loan from the queen herself, per royal wedding tradition, is a 1936 Cartier “halo.” 

Something blue: We can’t see it, but a blue ribbon is sewn into the interior of her dress.

At least Elle US kept the belt and styled it a little with the turquoise bra Katy Perry is Wearing.

On the other hand our lovely Marie Claire seems to have changed the blouse, I am assuming cos Genelia was not comfortable wearing such a low cut.

HT city, Delhi carried out the story and has comments from Genelia and Marie Claire editor Nina Haridas.

While Genelia says "The clothes had a very couture cut" SO? What does that mean or ensure? That only YOU will get to wear the pieces. And if she had researched what she was going to wear for her cover shoot a LITTLE bit she would`ve easily seen how its not from a COUTURE line but from RTW!
 

The editor says "We do pay attention that the same look is not repeated. We were convinced about the dress and didnt realise that Elle had it too, as it gets difficult to keep track of all the international glossies at times"

I am sorry, if its so hard for you as an editor of a major fashion magazine to keep track of another major fashion magazine which is Elle Freaking US! Its not like some random magazine from Greenland.

Isn`t it like her damn JOB?!
