 Boyfriend blazers are extremely  versatile: they can easily be worn casually for a day of classes, but they can also be dressed up for for the night with the right accessories.

Here I played with the texture of the Blazer and went with a Sequined one. But its not all out BLINGY. Quite subtle.
Zara has a similar grey one which i LOVE.

Also, jewel tones are so pretty without looking as if you tried too hard.
These Oscar de le Renta drop earrings are on literally every Christmas gift guide that I have been through and apparently are sold out on most of the online shopping sites. I am not surprised. They are absolutely gorgeous and are for $309.

All the blazers I have mentioned are available at Forever 21, Zara, Mango, Promod, Only, Vero Moda, Marks and Spencers and you might want to check out other high street brands. I got one from FCUK last year and the fit is brilliant.

I love watching this show every year cos of the energy and fun it exudes.

I know Monikangana Dutta is on her way to become one of the angels but I really think Deepika Padukone would make a really good VS model. She also had a never ending waist and is quite tall.

People`s Best Dressed List

Moving on to the 'Best Dressed List'

First of course is the cover girl, Twinkle Khanna. Its quite simple to recreate her style with bandage dresses, pumps and open hair. The magazine calls her the Accessory Expert since she has a standout accesory with each outfit.

Gauri Khan.  The magazine calls her the glam stylist which i completely agree with. She is very aware of the international fashion scene and wears brands like Mcqueen quite often. I have always loved the way she dresses.

Sonam Kapoor  I personally do not like this woman because time and time again she copies looks straight from the international scene and numerous articles have been written about this and pictures have been published showing how she wears the same look with the same dress and styling. That being said I have to admit that she definitely is extremely aware of all the trends and brands across the globe. One thing that I do like about her is that she tries out everything, trends and styles that most of her contemporaries would shy away from.Thus the magazine calls her the Trend setter and i sheepishly have to agree.

Kangana Ranaut  I don`t know about this one..I`am not sure she has 'it' to be on this list. The magazine calls her the style chameleon.

Deepika Padukone  I have always like how she dresses. But when i was researching stuff for this post of mine [yes i Research!! for the two people who read my blog, it is very important to have the facts right] I came across a lot of people asking why she is on this list. I don`t know why people are so surprised. She dresses in an effortlessly chic way. The magazine calls her the jeans specialist and she does exaclty that. She pairs ganjis with vests and dresses with boyfriend blazers. I quite like it!

Lara Dutta I guess I somewhat agree.She is labelled the Sophisticate by the mag and i agree on that one. I don`t know if it was the miss India training or if she was always like ( dont know about that she is from Ghaziabad! or was it Faridabad?) this but she is a very articulate. She speaks well and I love how she carries herself.

Malaika Arora Khan She has impeccable style. She looks so good in her flowy gowns. The femme fatale sure knows how to have a killer red carpet look. Sorry for the cliche but she is a yummy mummy.

Shilpa Shetty Another one who swears by the Herve Leger bandage dress and looks really good in them. But i think she looks the best in saris. Remember her guess appearance in Om Shanti Om. My god she looked so hot. I think she should be credited with bringing the whole 'tying a low waited sari' trend. And of course she has the body to pull it off. Definitely the body beautiful.

Dia Mirza I am not sure if I agree with this. I mean she is really pretty but i cant think of one memorable outfit. Nor can i think of a big blunder on her part. So i guess I`am nuetral on this one cos sorry, but her style is not one that sticks on. Although people call her the chich stylista. Meh.

Natasha Poonawalla The couture Queen? Absolutely not! Please go and look at the pictures. The mega teased hairstyle and the liquid gold leggings and you`ll understand why I disagree so much!

I really like how two people on this list, Twinkle and Shilpa were never dressed well or looked amazing when they started out. They themselves say that when they look at their movies from the 90`s they cringe. But I have to say they look a 100 times better now and definitely have aged really well ( not that they are like 60 or something ) I mean their whole look be it their appearance or their sense of style has matured with age and it really shows!


I think Priyanka Chopra and Kareena Kapoor should`ve been on this. Do you agree?
