Dannii Minogue has revealed that ageing doesn't bother her.
The Australian television star and fashion designer, who turns 40 this October, said that she is planning on having a small "midlife crisis" to mark the special day but insisted that she doesn't mind getting older.
Minogue told Australian Grazia: "I think getting older is fun. Definitely, having perspective - from nearly losing my sister and quite a few very close friends, and losing my best friend - means you realise every day is such a gift. I really am bowled over if someone says, 'Oh I'm getting old'. I think, 'Aren't you lucky?' It's impossible for me to even look at it that way. I embrace it, love it.
"I've decided not to buy the Ferrari [for my birthday] but I'm going to be wearing very short skirts and lots of sequins. Rock-chick mama!"

Minogue also revealed that she hasn't struggled with body image issues since giving birth to son Ethan last year. "I don't know how my body did it... it just snapped back," she said. "I think it's partly genetic. Mum said she was the same after each baby.
"Chasing after him, playing, running up and down stairs... I don't understand how other mums go to the gym after having a baby because I'm exhausted just looking after him."
Minogue and her partner Kris Smith were rumoured to have split earlier this year amid reports that she put her career first and treated him like a member of staff.
They later released a statement insisting that they were still together and happy.(DIGITAL SPY)
