Kelly Ripa has said that her three children enjoy the perks of her fame.
The Live! with Regis and Kelly co-host is married to actor Mark Consuelos. The pair are parents to 14-year-old Joseph, 10-year-old Lola Grace and 8-year-old Joaquin Alexander.
"It's very interesting. My kids have sort of grown up backstage - both at the talk show and when I was working on the soap. Michael grew up backstage when I was at All My Children and Lola and Joaquin grew up backstage at the sitcom [Hope and Faith]," Ripa explained in a new interview with Parade.
However, she went on to reveal that while her kids are happy to be the children of famous parents, they have no interest in pursuing careers in showbiz themselves.
"They really had a lot of experiences in the entertainment industry, but none of them really have any interest in going into the entertainment industry. But they do enjoy the perks of the occasional movie premiere or if there's an amusement park opening they'll usually be invited to that. So they really get a big charge out of that!" Ripa said.
Ripa and Consuelos recently announced plans to produce a new reality series about the lives of soap opera stars called Dirty Soap for E!.
