FIFA chief expresses desire to visit Pakistan

LAHORE: President, International Football Federation (FIFA), Sepp Blatter has expressed his desire to visit Pakistan to see the progress made in football and its allied infrastructure.

He expressed his desire at a recent meeting with President, Pakistan Football Federation, Fasial Saleh Hayat who is also a member of Disciplinary Committee of FIFA U-20 World Cup.

"It was very a beneficial meeting for the cause of football in Pakistan as the President, PFF, briefly threw light on the steps being taken by PFF for the overall development of the game in the country where Football houses were being built with the financial assistance of world football body ",said a spokesman of PFF here on Monday.

PFF President welcomed the kind gesture of Sepp Baltter for visiting Pakistan, he added.

FIFA chief also congratulated Faisal on Pakistan U16 team's title victory in the SAFF Championship held in Nepal and wished him luck for his endeavour for development of football in Pakistan and in Asia.

Sepp Blatter reiterated his commitment to expedite the construction of five FIFA Goal Projects already allocated to Pakistan to ameliorate the suffering of the flood effected areas of Pakistan.

FIFA chief also committed to arrange a few artificial turfs for these projects to bring them in line with modern football fields which will greatly enhance the playing techniques of our the football players", said the spokesman.
