Kelly plays both mentor and match-maker when she encourages Whitney to go out with Jonathan, a French photographer. "All girls should have an affair with a french guy," she says.


Whitney isn't entirely convinced by Kelly's arguments but agrees to get drinks with Jonathan anyway.

Olivia wins praise at work for her jewelry suggestions for the Elle cover shoot with Fergie.


While in LA for the Fergie cover shoot, Erin tries to explain to her boss, Joe Zee, that Olivia isn't worth her trouble.


Whitney listens to Jonathan tell stories from his days as a war photographer on a date that's growing increasingly business-like.

Jonathan is charmed by Whitney on their date. But is the feeling mutual?


Fergie models the dragon ring Olivia pulled for the shoot. Will Olivia's look make it onto the cover?


Erin isn't pleased to discover that Olivia is skipping out on work to lunch with a new senior staff member.

Has Olivia found a new ally at ELLE? It seems that way when she bonds with the new fashion director over lunch.


Whitney doesn't feel a spark with Jonathan but decides to take him up on his offer to photograph her look book.


Roxy tries to convince Whitney that Jonathan is interested in more than just a working relationship with her.

It's a wrap on a successful shoot and Joe lauds Olivia's accessory pulls for the shoot. But Erin disagrees and favors using a look that didn't take inspiration from Ms. Palermo.


Whitney leans in close to check out Jonathan's work on her look book, but backs away when she turns down a second date invite.


Back in New York, Erin is all smiles to learn that ELLE will use the cover choice that doesn't have jewelry pulled by Olivia.

Olivia, on the other hand, is miffed to hear the cover won't feature any of her work.
