After doing my Trend Report I had asked YOU guys to send me some looks in. It makes the trend and styles more real and relatable and also it`s always fun to see how other people interpret something.
I can see why sometimes you come across someone (man or woman) who might get ticked off by other people who are, according to them too obsessed with their own looks, clothes etc. To them they are superficial things and don`t REALLY matter. Thats fine, I give them the right to their opinion. But what I believe is that one can give an impression of who we are without opening our mouths, simply with the way we are dressed.
And if you look at different people with that point of view, you can see their personality reflecting in their clothes and how they put things together, or don`t!
I was talking about Memoirs Of A Geisha (the book and the movie) with my friends over lunch today. What is really interesting about the movie is ( if you havn`t seen it Please Please do ) that every character `s hairstyle is done in such a way that it is symbolic of the character. Hatsumomo (Li Gong) has lose and wild hair to show her rebellious side and her disregard for tradition while Sayuri`s hair was always kept simple to indicate her natural beauty. Mameha`s hair was generally in a simple bun or side swept over one shoulder to emphasize her elegance.
Anyway. That was the rammbling part of my post, Onto the good stuff now.
Rukman from Live-Love-Dress Up creates a very elegant and simple look with wide leg pants. A black one is an absolute classic and will actually never go out of style.
Aayushi and Malavika from Style Drive do two awesome looks with Print On Print.
Masoom from Style-Fiesta does a fun print on print with a fun graphic T-shirt and a checked skirt.
